Our Rat Terriers are some of the finest dogs that I have ever had in my life! We started raising them about 10 years ago. They are small, easy to train, eager to learn and love you unconditionally. They are happy, well behaved, and love to travel with you. All of our adults (except one) are in the Toy class (under 10 pounds). They produce very colorful and great temperament babies. We love them as they are a big part of our family and our lives. The Rat Terrier is not a "yapper" or "ankle biter", but they will bark and alert you when someone comes to your door or yard; once introduced, they will be life long friends. They are great pets and companions for any age. If you are looking for a great "well-rounded" pet, the Rat Terrier is one to consider.
